Steve Potts, Director of Music

 

As Director of Music, Steve Potts provides leadership for the Sanctuary and Chapel Worship services.

 

A native Texan and jazz student at the University of North Texas, Steve holds a distinguished career as accompanist to such renowned Gospel artists as the Bill Gaither Trio and is currently Music Director for multiple Grammy award winner Sandi Patty.  Other accomplishments include staff arranger for Royal Tapestry Publishing in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

Steve has served as Music Associate at Sagamore Hill Baptist Church, Fort Worth, Texas and in 1993 he began to serve on the music ministry staff at First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 1997 Steve moved to Indianapolis to pursue work in the recording and publishing industry.

 

Steve's own faith journey began at Central Baptist Church of Gainesville, Texas where he was baptized at the age of 7 and continued at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in the same Central Texas community.
