Preschool/Child Care


Beginnings is a registered ministry of First Baptist Church dedicated to offering affordable preschool and child care to the community.  Certified as an Indiana Level 3 Provider for Paths to Quality, Beginnings accepts Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) vouchers. 

Preschool (3-5 Year-Olds)
9AM-3PM (August – May)
Beginnings Preschool
offers a four-part developmental program to meet the pre groupphysical, spiritual, social, and emotional needs of children from infancy through age five. Our educational approach includes…

  • Opportunities to choose, explore, and discover
  • Experiences for social, creative, and developmental growth
  • Group activities and quiet times for individual exploration
  • A balance of creative activities and basic curriculum designed to help prepare children for kindergarten expectations
  • A safe, loving, Christian environment
  • Welcoming children of any race, religion, color, and national or ethnic origin
  • Low ratios of children to adults
  • Flexibility for days of choice
  • Preschool field trips
  • An August-May School Year, optional Summer Program
  • Voluntarily certified as a Level 3 Paths to Quality Provider
  • Staff trained in “Conscious Discipline” principles
  • CCDF Provider

Child Care (6 Weeks – Preschool Age)
or 9AM-3PM (August – July)
Parents may choose which days (and how many) your child attends. Child care follows a 49-week calendar.
